This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students I work with are English Language Learners. My students need to expand their Math skills and require hands on materials to understand math concepts. Students like to work with hands on materials because this helps them conceptualize and apply their math skills. My students get excited about math every day! Our school is in the middle of a high need neighborhood, students walk to and from school. Teachers and students at this school believe in high expectations and strive for excellence!

My Project

The product I am requesting will improve math skills for my students. Versa Tiles will engage my students during our small group math instruction and will also help them work independently. Versa Tiles will help them practice and master skills and concepts. It provides content visually and hands on. I can work as a whole class, small group or create a center with these materials. Versa Tiles is standards aligned to our curriculum and will help students check and correct their own work. This project will make a difference in my English Language Learners education, math will be fun and engaging!
