This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Although many of my students deal with hardships at home and in their community, they are always ready to learn each day and try their best to succeed. In our classroom, we encourage each other to never give up and remember we can do it if we put our minds to it.

Our classroom is a place created for world changers reaching for their destiny.

My students are always very eager to learn new things and engage in learning with their peers.

My Project

It is important for kindergarten students to have a strong number sense as they learn the basics of mathematics. The Math Talks and Number Strings provided with this Daily Math Fluency Kit will guide me in creating Number Talks to build a strong number sense for my students.

It is my goal to create a foundation to enhance my students' math skills on a daily basis.

I want them to be fully confident in math to set the stage for success in later grades. This resource will provide lessons to guide instruction. It also gives visual models and manipulatives for students to have hands-on experiences during learning.
