My Students

My students are inner-city high school students. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and they face many challenging situations at school and at home. Our District is committed to educating the whole student, socially, emotionally, and academically. Learning for all whatever it takes!

My Project

Students will be constructing bird houses that will be put up in the community. This is the start of the materials that they will need to construct them. Students will write letters to ask if they can place the houses on school property or at Hyde Park. Students will have to opportunity to walk to the places that the bird houses will be placed and put them up. Students will learn about conservation and make a difference in their community. Students will be able to see how their project makes a difference.
