Middle school students don't see the relevance of science in their lives. But with your donation, they will be able to read about real life science that is happening now and be able to apply it to their lives and to their science curriculum.
These great 8th grade students from the state of Idaho need your help!
We have a tremendous amount of students who don't have the opportunity to have the proper materials to be successful. These 8th graders are preparing themselves for high school and with additional resources can become that much more prepared.
My Project
Current Science magazine is a wonderful magazine that covers real life happenings like earthquakes, tsunamis and other scientific discoveries that have recently occurred. The articles are written in a student-friendly manner and have great pictures to give visuals for the students as well. These magazines would enrich the students learning by allowing them to stay current about what is happening in the world of science and see the relevance of science in their lives. With these magazines, my students will be able to do a weekly activity that will support not only their science knowledge but their writing, reading and vocabulary skills too.
With your donation, my 8th grade Science students will have a weekly opportunity to improve on numerous skills that will help them on standardized tests as well as see the relevance of science in their daily lives.
