My students need a variety of quality literature at their reading level. This will help support the reading levels that have a very limited number of books.

My Students

As a new special education teacher, I'm still trying to build up my classroom library to ensure my students have a wide selection of quality literature at their reading level. I work with students at beginning reading levels up to fourth grade reading levels, so it is difficult to make sure I have enough books to last through the year. My kids are the sweetest group of students I've ever met, and I just want to provide them with the absolute best I can!

My Project

As a new special education teacher, it is important that I build a classroom library with books at a wide range of reading levels. My school and principal have done a great job of providing me with resources, but it is difficult to find book sets at certain reading levels. For this reason, I'm looking for support to increase my classroom library. I have some students who say they don't have any books at their reading level at home. I would love to provide them with the opportunity to grow as lifelong readers. In order to do so, I need more books at these levels!
