Help me give my students fantastic books to read! They love so many series that are stuck in our classroom, and they would appreciate enjoying these collections in their homes!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 19 wonderful, brilliant, empathetic second graders at a Title I school on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. They are energetic, funny, curious, and we miss being together so much!
My students have been incredibly flexible with this change, their grace and kindness through it all have been amazing.
This project is one of many efforts to continue building on all the learning kids are doing at home and to keep our community tied together through literature.
My Project
Students have been connecting to literature and each other in incredibly creative ways. They have access to online book sites, they engage enthusiastically in our community meetings, and they take in texts all around them - the news, peers' messages, letters, and books at home.
They miss so much about school, especially our classroom library!
They would love to have more books at home, especially series. With more books at home, kids would get a break from screens, they'd be able to read more often and independently, and they could share what they've loved with their classmates.
