Help me give my students new books to instill a love and excitement for reading and new manipulatives/tools to help them display their learning through various multi-sensory activities.
My students are creative thinkers and explorative learners who thrive on learning through different modes of instruction. My students range from ages 5-8 all with varying abilities and needs. We are apart of an inclusive school setting, that believes in the co-teaching model approach. My students work together to learn school routines, expected behaviors and how to navigate through challenging social situations. My students are engaged, motivated and more successful with making connections to newly learned concepts when interactive activities and visual supports are provided.
My Project
The materials listed will motivate my students to engage in their learning. The request for new manipulatives will provide my students with the opportunities to show their knowledge through a variety of activities. The materials will make it possible to differentiate instruction and provide access to the curriculum and standards. Students will have the necessary materials to demonstrate their knowledge regardless of where they are performing emotionally, physically and/or cognitively. My students will be encouraged to see new books in our classroom library, which will instill a love and excitement for reading. The play-doh stamps and the magnetic tiles will allow my students to work on their fine motor development in a fun and interactive manner, while also building upon their social skills and play development.
