Building Highly Effective Teens, One Book at a Time!
My students need 85 copies of 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens to help navigate the wonderful and challenging life of a teenager!
Being a teenager is both wonderful and challenging. These books will help my students navigate the difficult world of today's teenager.
My students are WONDERFUL.
But I guess all teachers say that right? I have the pleasure of teaching 85 7th graders at an inner city KIPP charter school in Atlanta, GA. My student population is 99% African American and 77% Free or Reduced lunch. They are thinkers, explorers, investigators, and above all teenagers! Many of them will be turning 13 this year. They attend a school that is preparing them to go to and through college by spending a whopping 10 hours at school daily, plus 2 hours of homework nightly. They are dynamic, challenging, bright, and humorous young people whose hard work has made our school the number one school in our district and Georgia School of Excellence. My students are not only wonderful, they are the next generation of leaders in this country and need everything we can provide to help them navigate the challenges of being a teenager in America.
