My students need medicine balls for training circuits that we do out on the track. They also need new throwing implements for the shot put.

My Students

My students range in age from 5-12. They are participating on the junior high and high school track and field teams at a small rural school in Indiana. We have limited funding for equipment.

The school track and field program is the only track and field program that the majority of them are involved in.

They learn the sport, but also a healthy lifestyle. Our students are learning about health and fitness as well as developing strong positive character traits.

My Project

Medicine balls will be help us develop a strong core in all of our athletes. Our athletes will learn core exercises they can continue in the future. They will also help our throwers, jumpers and other athletes develop balance and strength. We will be able to take these medicine balls out to the track and use them for specific drills. It will be easier to to help all the athletes with equipment that can be taking outside.

New shot puts will provide the athletes with quality equipment needed for practice and competition.

Implement bags are a necessity for transporting shot puts.
