My Students

Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with most of our students receiving free lunch.

The town is an urban community that has a wide range of cultures and socio-economic levels.

About 60,000 people live in the town, and there is only one public high school. The student body is comprised of almost 3,000 students.

The student council board has 25 executive members. There is a variety of grade levels as well as a mix of cultures and backgrounds. Attending the conference will help students take back what they see and implement it in our inner-city high school.

My Project

Leadership Training Conference (LTC) offers experiential leadership skills development to students from Student Council. At LTC, students sharpen their leadership skills to improve their school culture and community while networking with their peers from around the country. Training opportunities for students will tackle a variety of topics, including leadership, student voice, civic engagement, service, and activities.

These tools are useful in idea sharing and networking throughout our school community.

This will also help Student Council to do project planning. Ideas for fundraising to help build up our communities we live in. Most importantly students will be able to learn and adapt team building skills, that can be turn keyed to others.
