My students need alphabetic paint stampers, play dough stampers, and letter, number, and shape tracing stencils for activities to use during our Daily 5 reading time.
Let's give the gift of fun and engaging learning! Kindergarten students are so excited about learning and they have such zest for life and learning. Help them by providing them with creative, fun ways to learn letter recognition, the precursor to reading.
We have 20 kindergarten students in our class.
Our school demographics are changing as our city is growing. It is a large public elementary school with over 600 students attending. We have five sections of kindergarten alone. Our community is on a large growth spurt and our school district is trying to keep up!
My Project
My students need alphabetic paint and play dough stampers and letter, number, and shape stencils for our Daily 5 reading time. These rich literacy activities bring engagement, excitement, and wonderful learning opportunities for students just learning their letters and numbers. Research has proved that students who are engaged in meaningful and engaging activities increase their reading and literacy skills. We will be using these literacy materials in whole group, small group, and individual work. These materials will be used daily during our reading block. These materials hit a range of learning targets for students in kindergarten. There are materials for students working on letter recognition and letter formation, along with some activities that work on numbers and shapes. These materials make learning fun! With these activities, I want to set a strong foundation of the love for learning and school. Please help our future leaders!
Kindergarten students are at a vital time in their learning careers where it is imperative that they develop a strong foundation of their letter recognition and formation.
These literacy resources will then build that strong foundation for the rest of their lives.
