My multicultural classroom is full of young children whose minds want and need to be stimulated. My children are eager learners who have a strong drive to learn everything about the world around them. I love providing them with opportunities to grow their learning and encourage them to be life long learners. The children enjoy learning opportunities including STEM, language arts, and creative arts. They enjoy learning new social-emotional skills and love to practice the taught skills with each other and their families.
The majority of the children in the school, including my classroom, come from low-income families, where they are dual language learners, many who are the first in their families to learn the English language.
The children in my classroom have a strong will to become successful students, and I want to be able to provide them with the supplies they need in order to set them up for success.
My Project
Young children need frequent opportunities to build their fine motor muscles. Providing them with a variety of tools to build those muscles, allows the young children in my class to build those fine motor muscles.
Providing opportunities for my students to develop their fine motor muscles using sensory materials, allows my students to perform basic self-care tasks such as holding eating utensils to feed themselves, buttoning and zipping their clothes independently, writing, drawing, and so many more skills!
Providing my children with a variety of sensory materials gives me the chance to help them develop these fine motor muscles. Giving the children playdough to manipulate encourages them to build those very important fine motor muscles. So many of my children have to work hard on developing these skills so that they can hold writing tools and write their names, letters, and numbers. They want to perform skills such as buttoning buttons on sweaters, snaps on jeans, zippers on coats, independently and move on to other more complex skills. Thank you for considering supporting my project to help my children grow and develop such important skills.
