My Project

The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic began at the precious formative years of 3 to 4 years of age for my current 1st grade students. Young children have been deprived of social interactions with peers and self-regulation returning to the classroom has been a dramatic transition for all learners. Despite their resilience, children still need opportunities to learn how to have positive interactions with others that can be developed through games and play-based learning. These opportunities will help me to meet the needs of the whole child and a memorable first school experience.
