Help me give my students Time Edge digital publications that would give us engaging nonfiction texts and a 90-year archive of primary sources to help us learn about issues in science and history while building our ELA skills.
Our 6th Grade: Do you remember those years where you and your friends were the oldest students in the school and every other student in the building looked up to you? Do you remember the feelings of courage and responsibility you felt to always do the right thing because you knew others were watching, and the power you felt in being able to work with your classmates to make real and positive changes in various aspects of the school? Do you remember the excitement of finally getting to play an instrument in band or orchestra and being able to participate in various school clubs? Yes, that's us!
We are inquisitive, passionate, determined, sincere, and bubbly 11- and 12-year olds, developing skills so important in life, like learning to be responsible, and to take pride for our work.
We are learning to work collaboratively and with creativity to care for the environment and our community. We are sincere scientists and historians; learning from the past, observing current events, and learning how to think critically about issues in the world around us by looking at authentic data. This is us!
My Project
Middle School students need to begin learning about current events and issues in the world around them, as well as how to read and comprehend primary sources. Time Edge subscriptions do that and more!
Time Edge provides our 6th graders with engaging articles on topics related to what we are learning in science and social studies as well as 90 years of primary sources.
These articles help us build our literacy skills and tie ELA in with science and history. The digital aspect of a Time Edge subscription for each child is essential in this remote-learning environment during this pandemic.
