My school serves K-5 students and our teachers are dedicated to our motto "Learning and Serving Together". The school is predominately ethnically diverse.
Many of my students are new to the United States very little english.
I'm not only faced helping them feel comfortable in a new situation away from their parents but with teaching the curriculum and also language acquisition.
My students are eager to explore the world and to examine what the possibilities are in the United States. They take pride in their work and love to challenge themselves to do their best.
My Project
Students are in need of materials that they will use during the day to create STEM projects and express their creativity!
During learning time students will incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Arts.
We would like to purchase learning gears, building blocks, engineering blocks and STEM interlocking blocks. This will give students a variety of materials to choose from. Students will be given a plan to complete the task with their group. Each student within the group will take on a role a establish a plan in order to complete the task presented. Our hope is that with additional materials purchased that students will be able to have more options when attempting to complete their project.
