I am starting a new position this year! I am excited to have a group of ten second grade unique students with diverse needs, personalities, and abilities. My students have diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorder, Speech and Language Impairment, Severe Sensory Integration, Anxiety, and Emotional Disability.
However, all of my students benefit from help with self-regulation and require sensory support and flexible seating options.

My Project
cossy Kids Magnetic Tiles are building blocks that assist in developing kids creativity. Children can acquire a strong sense of color, geometrical shapes including 3D forms numbers counts, magnetic polarities & architectural design at an early age.
Magnetic tiles inspire children's manipulative ability, imagination, and creativity, problem-solving, social skills, motor skills.
I am also asking for scented markers and fine point flair pens for my students to use while using coloring as a strategy to de-escalate and de-stress. Coloring generates wellness, quietness and also stimulates brain areas related to motor skills, the senses, and creativity. Coloring has a de-stressing effect because when we focus on a particular activity, we focus on it and not on our worries.
