Building Creativity and Collaboration with Bloxels

My students need the Bloxel Building Kits and Instructional Books to build 21st century skills while creating video games.

My Students

Video games are a craze for my second graders. It is a common language among my students. What better way to make their creativity and collaboration come to life than through a video game builder to excite their learning.

The majority of my students are from low-income families in a rural location in North Carolina.

My students are hard working when they have something they can relate to in their own lives. This will bring their hobbies and school together.

My Project

Enthusiasm and motivation are a major challenge for teachers today. With the addition of Bloxels Builder Kits and the Instructional Guides, my students will be able to see how they can use their creativity as they collaborate with other classmates to build video games. Each kit includes the 13 x 13 gameboard and the building blocks in eight different colors. Each block color has a specific meaning to the game development. Bloxels will incorporate science and math along with technology.

Bloxels will allow my students to use their imagination to develop a story and then watch it come to life through their gaming knowledge while designing a video game.

Students' lives will be enriched by helping them to think critically as they create and problem solve, and learn to communicate and collaborate with others by creating a product that can be played by themselves, friends, and family. They will not be able to contain their excitement!
