This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are unique thinkers that often strive to understand meanings behind concepts they learn. They are always asking "Why?" We have a group of students that are interested in starting a LEGO Builder's club. A student got the idea from a TV show that featured teams competing against one another in various building challenges. The teams must meet certain specifications and themes and their creations are put to the test by undergoing various tests of strength, durability, etc. The teams that can engineer the best designs win!

Middle school students love LEGOS and this will be a great way for them to do what they love while using math and science concepts to win challenges.

In order for us to start this club, startup materials are necessary. Base blocks, building plates, wheels and axles, mini figures, and mesh cleaning bags will get my students started building their creations!
