My Project

My first graders are hard-working, curious, and cooperative learners. With the multiple copies of the books requested, they will be able to work in partnerships on a common text, exchange ideas, determine the meaning of unknown vocabulary, and build their comprehension. A whole class lesson prior to and after partner work can be specific to the text, as the entire class will have had the opportunity to read and discuss the same text. My goal is for them to work together to increase their ability to determine the meaning of the text.
