Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a wonderful group of 2nd grade students in an ICT classroom, many of whom receive special education and ENL supports.

They are curious, creative, and eager to learn, and iPads would allow them to access STEM lessons in meaningful and interactive ways.

With this project, my students will research animal habitats, design digital projects using apps like Seesaw or Scratch Jr., and record their voices to explain their thinking. For students with disabilities and English learners, the accessibility features on iPads such as speech-to-text, voice recording, and translation tools will help them fully participate.

This project will not only support STEM learning but also strengthen reading, writing, and communication skills while encouraging teamwork and creativity. Your support will provide technology that many of my students don’t have access to at home, opening the door for them to explore, problem-solve, and share their ideas with confidence.
