I work with the youngest learners in an urban preschool setting. My students are a diverse group of young learners, ages 3-5. Most come from high poverty homes. 78% of the students at my school qualify for free and reduced lunch. I serve typically developing students as well as students learning English for the first time. I also have students with special needs including communication impairments, students with autism, deaf and hard of hearing students, and students with motor concerns.
The Duple Wild Animals and Duplo World People accessory blocks will enable my students to stretch their imaginations by creating structures and bringing them to life. These items will make playing with the regular Duplo blocks in my classroom so much more enjoyable.
The Duplo baseplates will give my students a surface on which they can begin building their creations.
My students will be able to work independently or as a group using the baseplates. The Duplo blocks accessories will help to develop their fine motor skills, planning, problem solving, and social interactions.
Thank you for helping my students stretch their creativity and imaginations.
