Help me give my students a water/sand table and a puppet theater that will help them learn about environmental science, and help them improve their social and vocabulary skills.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach bilingual students and we speak Spanish about 95% of the time in my classroom. Most of my students have never been to school before, and their shiny, new minds are ready to absorb the world around them. The vast majority comes from low-socioeconomic backgrounds. As someone who grew up in a similar fashion, I understand how meaningful these experiences in school are.
Some of my students have limited speech, so social interactions are very important.
Sometimes, their parents have more than one job, so the time they spend conversing with them is very limited. This is why their speech suffers.
My Project
Play is so important to optimal child development that it has been recognized by the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights as a right of every child. This birthright is challenged by the limited resources available to children living in poverty. Most of my students come from such backgrounds. A lot of them don't get to enjoy leisure activities with their parents since their parents have to work multiple jobs. Play is essential to development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and youth. I am asking for your help to build their scientific knowledge and social skills by giving them the tools they need to achieve this. We are in need of a sensory table and dramatic play center along with accessories for these items. Thank you for your support!
