Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The scholars in our second grade classroom all come from a very diverse background, both socioeconomically and culturally. Nearly all of the students come from a low-income household that cannot afford to purchase headphones and supplies throughout the entire year.

These young scholars come in every morning eager to learn in fun and exciting ways.

This class thrives on learning in new, fun and interesting ways! They really get the most out of learning when they can show off their knowledge in many different modalities.

My Project

As our school transforms into one of the only inner city STEM schools in Ohio, it is important to provide as many STEM resources as possible for our young scholars to show off their creativity and imagination.

These STEM materials are influential not only in the academics of the classroom, but the hands-on experiences that will transfer to any career or trade these young scholars choose.

The Osmo's and circuit blocks will be used in our STEM centers to bring enrichment to the scholars. The coding aspect of these materials is something that transfers over throughout the curriculum in many different subjects.
