This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The rise in popularity of Esports as team sports leads to the popular topic of the future of the Olympics. According to an article of the LA Times, "Esports fit the criteria to sustain the Olympics’ demand." Recent news show that esports will be in the Olympics starting 2028.

"Video gaming may be associated with better cognitive performance in children."

...according to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services' NIH.

Our goal is to use the joystick (3D+ Pandora Games Arcade Game Console) to build a portable gaming arcade using STEAM practices and the Engineering Process. With your help, we will benefit by gaining 21st Century skills through Ccllaboration, communication, critical and computational thinking, creativity, and more as they build and modify it for an authentic audience in our school district's Esports program.
