My Students

My students come from a variety of cultural and lingual backgrounds. This diversity inspires me to seek out and create a wide range of lessons and materials. Finding ways to engage students from such various backgrounds and cultures allows me to learn so much from each of them.

Not only are we developing a diverse and compassionate classroom community, we are also creating lasting expectations for a brand-new school.

Our students are setting the tone during this first year. However, we are lacking much of the foundation of our resources that other, more established schools have been able to build over time.

My Project

My students love being responsible, independent, and taking charge of their learning in as many ways as possible. Providing dictionaries and thesauruses will give students another simple tool that allows them to take charge of their learning.

Having access to dictionaries and thesauruses will provide students with the opportunity to build explore and expand their vocabulary.

Not only will students build a strong foundation and expand their academic vocabulary, they will be able to practice and master research skills as they find their answer.

Having dictionaries and thesauruses readily available will instill the confidence and independence to continue to take charge of their learning.
