One of the best things about teaching my fourth graders is that they are always excited to share their knowledge and show what they know. They are eager to be successful in all that they do within the classroom. Even when they are unfamiliar with the new topics or subjects, they do not hold back in participating.
My students mean the world to me in so many ways; such as caring for everyone around them and putting forth their best work ethic each and every day.
They are constantly exceeding the expectations I set for them in their studies and behaviors. I strive for them to feel confident with their growth in learning and be prepared for their life ahead in every way.
My Project
In our classroom, students are focused on improving and growing within their reading and language art skills. In order for my students to be successful, they spend a great deal of time in small group stations, rotating around the classroom. If this project is funded, my students will be able to work on tasks, games, and activities with ease and comfort in the classroom environment.
My students are familiar with working with what they have, but they deserve the chance to have the materials to challenge themselves in learning every day.
Items such as wobble cushions, organizers and carts will help the students to work within a small group without as many distractions. It will help them keep all their work materials organized for easy access and use. My students want so desperately to be triumphant in their learning and with these materials, they will have a greater chance to do so. They will be able to easily access task cards out of their cases and complete the challenges with a friend. They won't have to stay stuck in a chair, instead, they can fidget on their wobble seat, so their focus can be on their work ahead. Students will be able to organize their work and turn it in with confidence without having to go far from their group.
This project will help my students feel at home within the classroom environment while keeping them engaged during our small group rotating stations. I can't wait to see the positive impact the group station will have on my students and how excited they will be to continue to learn within this environment.
