My Students

My students are an amazing group of incredibly hard working young adults. They enjoy musical challenges, whether they take the form of challenging visuals on the marching band field, more demanding repertoire in concert band settings, or starting an entirely new musical ensembles to find additional outlets for creativity and exhibiting their gifts for the arts.

One of the biggest challenges our students face is lack of access to sufficient equipment.

They have done a phenomenal job of making the most out of what they have to work with, but in order to really take the program and their performances to the next level, many of our school owned instruments need either repairs or upgrades to higher quality brands. We lack equipment that most schools have in our percussion section as well that is sorely needed. These students deserve the world and I will keep doing whatever it takes to give them what they need to continue cultivating their passion for the musical arts.

My Project

These materials will help our students get access to better quality equipment for our instrumental music department. Whether they are music stands, strings for our orchestra, reeds for our woodwinds, new instruments, more supplies, etc., much of our equipment needs to be replaced, improved, or upgraded.

Any and all of the equipment this project provides for us will be of vital importance to continuing to build and improve the WHS Music Department and its ensembles.

We have accomplished a great deal with minimal resources, but these students deserve more and we are striving to get them the resources they need.
