My students need these tools, especially the music cart storage, and projector because our resources are limited due to being a new school and these items especially will help foster learning within an organized environment.
The students at my school are among the best in the nation. My music students have a desire and passion to create beautiful music at such a young age. These students have the power to develop their musical talent in many ways.
These students have created a successful habit of study and dedication to the musical arts that is showcased throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
Our school is a STEM-based charter and the students truly represent that mission objective.
My Project
My students come from a variety of backgrounds, both social-economically and musically. Being able to provide them with adequate resources to develop their passions for music is essential to the overall success of their efforts each day in class.
This project consists of items that reflect the desires and passions of the music students to engage in higher leveled learning.
The music rack will help organize my music stands, the projector will help me connect technology with learning and enhance students education. The literary resources will help my students make a connection between music and other curricular areas such as English and Math.
Creating a culture of learning within the classroom will help my students develop a knowledge of possible resources through which their learning can be supplemented and enhanced. Additionally, this project will help create a necessary storage system to allow for additional materials to be added over the next several years to my growing music program.
