My preschool classroom is part of an urban school district. I have 24 diverse learners in my classroom each year. My students are all at-risk students due to low-income or factors such as English language learners, having speech and language delays, or other developmental delays. My goal for is to get my students ready to move on and be successful in the general education curriculum and setting.
Exploring with building helps students to learn about shapes, creativity, fine motor, persistence, working with others and more!
Students will be able to use Magna-tiles to help build many wonderful skills! They can explore colors and shapes (both 2D and 3D)! They will be able to work creatively to build new structures. They can practice their problem solving skills as well as working with others to build some amazing structures! Students will also be able to explore how magnets work!
Students in this class love to explore new ways to do things!
They have been having fun learning to build with LEGOs and wooden blocks in the past months. They will love having a new way to build in the classroom!
