Building A Model Classroom to Ensure Future Success for 2018-2019
My students need Colorful organizational supplies, and materials to organize their work and supplies ahead of next year so they can be ensured a classroom that is robust and ready to foster independence.
My classes are made up of 90 of the most spirited, inquisitive learners who are constantly devouring information and seeking new challenges and experiences within the walls of our classroom community.
An estimated 75 percent of the students are recognized in our special education program.
All Students are supported where they are and given what they need to be successful every, single day. It is a supportive community of lifelong learners who are pushing their critical thinking beyond the classroom.
My Project
As this school year ends, I want to get a head start on planning for another successful school year in English Language Arts. I want to spend the summer months setting up a classroom that is organized and up to date with new supplies from markers to folders as well as organizational bins to build a new and welcoming library.
No matter where my students are in their middle school journey I want them to return in September to a class room that has thoughtfully been put together for them so that the learning can begin immediately.
I am in need of Pendaflex Recycled Hanging Folders to serve as student portfolios as well as JAM Paper Heavy Duty Plastic Two Pocket Presentation Folders for students to transport their homework and daily handouts, and pencil sharpeners that minimize disruptions.
Additionally, I am asking for Classroom Pencil & Marker Baskets to organize materials at each table to expedite learning and give every student options in how they would like to showcase their thinking without wasting time looking for a supply like a pencil.
With these curated items in my cart students will feel proud to be a member of a classroom community that fosters independence and all learning needs are met. It has taken me years to get the list of items needed to run a high functioning classroom just right and in order to absorb the cost of such items I am asking for the majority of my items to be funded by the generosity of others.
