This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students love to learn. They enjoy singing, dancing, playing dress up, and building tall buildings with the blocks! In our classroom, we focus on learning through movement and exploration. I strive to give students the opportunity to be hands on with their learning by using manipulatives. We learn to interact with each other through creative play. We start each morning by singing and dancing on the carpet together as a classroom family. My goal is that with your help, I will be able to provide my students will all the things that they need to learn.
My Project
My students are learning to build relationships with one another, learning about literacy, discovering number sense, patterns and problem solving. They learn by using hands-on materials and being engaged; like sorting, making patterns, counting different objects and building things.
My goal is to keep math fun, exciting and very busy.
With your donations my students would have the opportunity to expand their imagination, develop positive self esteem, creativity, build amazing things, enrich their problem solving minds, and make predictions based on their observations. Instilling the love of math early is critical in creating a good foundation for the future. My hope is that one day my students may be Great Mathematicians!
