Ms. B. from AL is requesting books through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a classroom library full of books they love. Adding books like Little Leaders, I am Enough, and Hidden Figures will keep students eager to read more!

I teach 4th grade to 23 brilliant students. They are all eager to learn and love working towards their big goals! Our class tenets are to be bold, be kind, and be you!
I teach in a Tile I school in Alabama where all of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
This never holds them back from working incredibly hard each day and striving to be excellent readers and mathematicians.
My students get so excited each time we conference to discuss their progress towards their reading and math goals. They are building the confidence they need to be continuous learners!
Earlier this year my students raised money for our classroom at a school event. The class voted to spend the money on new books for our classroom library. Seeing their faces light up as we unpacked the new books was priceless. My students love to bookshop in our library and beg for more time to read.
I want to add more high interest books to our classroom library to keep students begging to read!
13 of my students came to 4th grade reading below a 2nd grade level.Because of their hard work this year, they are on track to grow 1.5 year or more in reading. To keep this momentum going, I want to add more books with characters that they identify with, on topics they are interested in and on their level.
The majority of the books on the list are books that students have requested. I have checked out Dragons Love Tacos and Hidden Figures from the public library a dozen times. The students would be ecstatic to see those titles in our own library!
