"What did you do in school today?" "Look! I'm in it! See?!? said the child as he took the class photo album home to show to everybody. Of course, in the end, the whole family knows about all our centers, what is done in each, who his friends are, what the rules are, what he likes most--and least! The album is filled with action--from P.E. to napping, from school breakfast to dismissal. Everyone gets to see "Learning in Action" reported to them by their very own child. For parents and interested adults who are not able to participate in class activities, it is a reassuring and good way to keep track of class activities. I have done this in the past with great success and much positive feedback. Students could hardly wait to take the album home!!! Adults loved it. They often sent back notes saying "what a blast" they had looking at the pictures and talking to their child about the different scenes. For our End of the Year Program, the pictures were shown as a slide show presentation. There wasn't a dry eye in the house!!! My digital camera "died" last week; I need a new one to continue this great task. My school system still has a freeze on spending because of all the destruction done to schools and property during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. I have used a lot of my own money to get my classroom back in running order? I am going broke. Somebody, Please HELP!!!!!
