Thank you for visiting my page. I am a high school teacher at a public school in the hi-desert of Southern California. I am blessed to teach incredible students who continue to inspire me each and every day.
I teach at a school that is labeled as low-income but as I teach my students, it does not define who we are or what we can accomplish!
I teach my students that YES they can dream and if they are willing to put in the work that dream will come true. I am positive that each student has the potential for greatness.
I love my job and I love my students. Thank you for your contribution. It really is a blessing to have amazing individuals who value our children and their education.
Our schools have been racing to catch up to the newest and latest fads in terms of technology. Kids are growing up with their faces illuminated by digital content for the majority of their day.
Students are losing out on the very valuable experience of holding an actual book in their hands.
I have been building my classroom library for years. I have begged for donations, purchased used books online (just last week I spent over $50 on used books), and have searched thrift stores and garage sales.
I am asking for donations to continue to fill our classroom library with books. I want to be able to inspire a kid who hates reading with a book that will catch their imagination and compel them to pick up another. It is an incredible experience to watch the eyes of young child light up with excitement as they tell you about a really awesome book they just read.
You can help inspire a child to become a life-long reader. Thank you for your support and well wishes. It means the world to us!
