My Students

I will be teaching two classes of second graders ELA and social studies this year. Students everywhere are excited to get back to school, see their friends and school family, and learn! All my students deserve the very best I can give them as a teacher!

Each student represents the idea that anyone who works hard can succeed.

When students are given the proper support, resources, and differentiation, they can show amazing growth!

My Project

Walt Disney once said "There is more treasure in books than all the pirates' loot on Treasure Island". I am requesting several book sets to start a classroom library for my 2nd grade students. Books can be used to help students practice a comprehension skill, learn to decode that tricky word, and most importantly, find a love of reading.

I want my students to become life-long readers.

I want them to have access to a variety of genres and reading levels. It is my hope that all students will be able to find something that interests them and motivates them to learn more. These book sets touch on many topics that can teach and entertain.
