Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students walk into our classroom every day, motivated and ready to learn. Despite the challenges they face out of the classroom, they never give up and are extremely supportive of each other. The majority of my students come from low-income households and immigrant farm worker parents. Although parents may not be able to supply everything, they compensate by being supportive and volunteering as much as possible. They love seeing what is going on in the classroom. Being able to provide the best learning environment is one of my daily goals.
My Project
These materials will help my students have a meaningful morning meeting and centers time because it will allow me to create an interactive space for them. The calendar will help me enrich calendar lessons and it will help bring up the rigor by allowing students to think more critically.
Please help my students become active learner and thinkers through interactive writing.
The Post-It easel pads will help me display anything that I need to during center and morning meeting time, which will help students stay focused if they are able to see the material from where they are. The students will also be allowed to actively participate by being able to scribe and draw on the easel pads though interactive lessons.
