Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our math classroom, learning is active and hands-on—in the best way possible! My students thrive when they can share ideas, work together, and move around the room to solve problems. To make this kind of collaborative learning possible, we need tools that encourage communication, creativity, and teamwork.

Anchor chart paper will allow us to create visual references for key strategies, vocabulary, and problem-solving steps.

These charts become living resources we can revisit and add to throughout the year, helping students take ownership of their learning.

Dry erase boards will give students a low-pressure space to test ideas, revise their thinking, and share solutions with peers. They make it easy for everyone to participate and see that mistakes are part of the learning process.

Clipboards will free students from their desks, allowing them to work in flexible seating arrangements, collaborate on the carpet, or even take math outdoors. This mobility helps students feel comfortable and engaged.

Easels will serve as central hubs for group discussions, enabling students to display their work, present their thinking, and build on each other’s ideas. They create a focal point for shared learning in small groups and whole-class settings.

With these resources, my classroom will be transformed into a true collaborative workspace where students can explore, create, and grow as confident mathematicians.
