Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Once upon a time, there was this great second grade classroom with limited books, but this class really wanted books to read. With your help you can make their fantasy a reality!
My students are located in a high poverty urban section of New York.
My students are second graders that have very have a very limited library in the classroom. They are in need of books on their level when they start second grade. Many students need books on their level to become proficient readers. Building their literacy knowledge will help them to pass any tests that they will face in the future.
My Project
Having a leveled library will help to meet their students at their level. They can then become very proficient readers as they master each level. When they are able to move up to the next level their confidence rises and their ability to think critically increases. With your donation you are impacting my students lives in such an incredible way. They will be given an opportunity to increase their knowledge and be given the practice that they need to overcome any obstacle in their lives.
So now its your chance to become the best donors ever and give my students the chance to become fabulous life long readers.
With your assistance they can tackle anything that comes in their literacy development with fabulous rich literature that interests them and is on their level.
