My students need basic math manipulatives in order to understand concepts better and more thoroughly. The wobble chairs are also incredibly important as they can help students who need to move in order to concentrate.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are hardworking, hilarious, and an extremely lively bunch. After they get to know you and know that you believe in them they will stick with you through thick and thin. They are so brilliant and so wiggly. They cannot sit still for even a minute which makes teaching math for 90 minutes a pretty big (and fun) challenge.
I teach in Dallas, which is an urban school district.
Some of my students cannot afford to have backpacks much less bring in supplies. They need you to help provide supplies in order to be successful.
My Project
All students deserve to learn in the style that suits them best. In my students' case, a lot of them are visual and tactile learners and so they need visual and tactile aids to help with a particularly difficult math concept (fractions). The linking cubes will help with this as students can both add and break apart the cubes to make a whole. The fraction squares and the fraction tiles will help students see how both decimals and fractions can be thought of in the same light. I want to make sure that every student gets what they need in order for them to reach their full potential and these manipulative will help them do so.
Every student deserves to learn and the wobble chairs will be an an outlet for the students that have a hard time concentrating when sitting still.
I am a new teacher starting from scratch, and still need all the essentials. The pencil sharpener will be classroom only so that students can have sharpened pencils to work with. My students already have the mind to learn, now they just need some tools to help them along the path.
