My students are very creative and love to express themselves in their work. My students are so energetic and eager to learn. My students have big hearts and are full of life. We love to create new things and take our learning from the textbook to real life with new technology, educational websites, drawings, charts, projects, presentations, etc. We have a tight-knit family relationship in our classroom. My kids work together and help each other out, despite the difficulties they face at home.
My Project
This project will allow students to build and explore. My students are very hands on. There are so many studies that show students need to explore and build. This helps students collaborate, problem solve and critical thinking skills. This not only helps students now, but will help our community and economy in the future as these students are learning to build, communicate and become innovators. These activities can connect curriculum, ideas and content discussed in the classroom and show how they benefit our society, our life long learning and our world as a whole.
I have found that my students are at their best when they are able to manipulate, build and create!
In my classroom, students would use these materials all around the room. Providing Lap Desks and Organization would allow students to move and work in different areas with different groups. Students would be able to use the STEM Learning Toys and Lego Blocks to create and explore during free time, to model and build understanding during a lesson and as a summarizing strategy to show what students have learned.
