My students need hands-on geometric blocks, moving mats, space stations, and a document camera to help build interactive and human geometric shapes in virtual lab.

Our school is an urban high-needs school. The students come from families of low socioeconomic status. I work hard to enrich their learning opportunities by providing more hands-on activities, engaging media assignments and projects, and encouraging them to constantly reflect on their learning.
My students are creative youngsters with and without disabilities who have all the potential to make an impact in our classroom and our school community.
They are a diverse group of young people with different ethnic and cultural background. It is the best opportunity for them to learn tolerance and appropriate social skills while they are developing academic and intellectual capacity. Some of them are new immigrants who are trying to master English. They have various learning styles and capabilities. Therefore, it is highly effective and engaging for them to work in groups while involved in cooperative learning through exploratory classwork and interdisciplinary projects.
The resources I am requesting are mostly instructional materials which help to improve students' learning by addressing different modalities. I want to make sure that the students are able to activate their prior knowledge and make connection with the new concepts. Therefore, they can make sense of their learning. For instance, the document camera will allow me to use relevant images or examples from the real world of what they learning. In building the virtual lab, the students will be able to tour back and forth between the real classroom and their ideal student lab where they will design and build their learning environment using the geometric blocks, moving mats, and space stations I am requesting as models and expand on them. In other words, if I am not able to provide any resources in the classroom, they will build it on-line using various geometric software like Google Sketch or GeoGebra. With all imaginary and real world tools, the students will become more responsible and proactive for their learning.
This project is new of its kind.
It will build the students' academic, social, and cooperative learning skills. It will enhance their creative and critical thinking with hands-on and technological opportunities. By creating a virtual student lab, students will be given a chance to build a learning environment that will help improve their learning and academic performance. This is the crucial element of 21st century classroom, with high-tech, hands-on, virtual, and real models.
