Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Have you ever wanted to read a book and did not have it available? I don't want my students to have to experience this at school. I would like for them to be able to read books that are new and interesting to them.
I teach 21 energetic and loving students. They are all English Language Learners and come from a variety of household environments. I have students who have a variety of support from home. Some have very little support and some have a lot of support from home.
My Project
I am looking for these reading books to use as independent reading books and also for books on audio. They will be able to get these books when they are done with their work and during center time. The students will be able to read these new and interesting books. They will be able to imagine new worlds and build their limited vocabulary.
Books are an important part of every student's life. They open up a brand new world for them. Having these materials will allow me to give them these and many more opportunities to be successful in life.
