My Project

The funding of this project can significantly enrich the musical theatre classroom experience for high school students, fostering their social-emotional well-being in several ways.

Firstly, the keyboard serves as a versatile tool for both practical learning and emotional expression.

With access to a keyboard, students can explore musical concepts hands-on, honing their technical skills and creativity. Playing an instrument has been linked to reduced stress and improved mood, providing students with a healthy outlet for emotional expression and stress relief.

Additionally, sheet music opens doors to a diverse repertoire of songs and musical compositions. Through studying and performing different pieces, students can develop empathy by connecting with the emotions and stories conveyed through music. They can also build teamwork and communication skills by collaborating with peers in rehearsals and performances, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom community.

Textbooks complement practical learning by providing students with foundational knowledge in music theory, history, and performance techniques.
