We have a diverse group of pre-k students who are ready and excited for school! With your support, they can grow, learn, and spread their excitement for education into their future academic career. Pre-k is a special place for children to learn how to get along with others while building self-confidence and self-esteem. They learn how to socialize with others, manage disagreements, and build key communication skills needed in the future.
We are curious and active learners who love to make new discoveries by exploring our surroundings.
It's hard for a four-year-old to sit and listen to a lecture. That's why we learn through play!
Our classroom materials are essential to our learning process, offering us tools that support role-playing, creating, building, social-emotional skills, reading and writing skills, language skills, and math skills. Through play, the students make observations and discuss what they notice. Through our discussions, they draw conclusions that help them to make sense of the world and learn each day.
My Project
As part of our pre-k units of study we learn all about homes and transportation. I am requesting LEGO sets that will support student learning through developmentally appropriate practices.
Learning through play is the most natural way for young children to learn.
I am requesting LEGO walls, doors, and roof tops so my students can learn how to build homes and name different parts of a house. I am also requesting wheels and different vehicles for my students. The wheels set will allow my students to create their own vehicle while the vehicle set will help to provide my students models of different types of vehicles that we can find in our community.
