My students need materials such as LEGO bricks and magnetic tiles to assist them in learning how to become engineers, planners, critical thinkers and cooperative learners!
My students come from a diverse background, but one thing they have in common is that they love coming to school to learn, be surrounded by people who love them, and enjoy just being kids!
We are teaching students who may have careers that haven't been created yet!
Our time spent exploring a variety of creative outlets together is a special time for us as a classroom community. My students deserve to play and discover new opportunities without the risk of failure or fear of challenge.
My Project
These resources will be used in multiple ways throughout the school day. My students come in every morning so eager to learn. I strive to allow time every morning to explore tubs of activities such as building blocks, magnetic tiles, math manipulatives and dominoes. It is important for my students to have the ability to play and learn without the fear of challenge or risk of failure.
These resources will help to develop my students' coordination, creativity, patience and problem solving skills.
Working in a S.T.E.A.M. school, the majority of our lessons are cross curricular and easily incorporate engineering and technology activities seamlessly. The resources will allow my students to explore various avenues of critical thinking, planning, revising, cooperative learning and leadership opportunities. These are life skills that will accompany them through any career path they desire!
