My Students

Our students are problem solvers and team players. They are respectful, hardworking, funny and creative. I cherish everyday with everyone of them! As the AVID coordinator at our school, I oversee the 6th-8th grade AVID classes and help support our elective teachers.

Our school is undergoing deep budget cuts this school year, which means I am looking at spending even more out of my own pocket (I average $500/year) to make the school year amazing for all of our AVID students.

My Project

With flexible seating I will be able to get and keep the attention of my students without so much damage to our chairs and hurt egos when they rock backwards and fall :(

These supplies will make it possible to give students that come to school with nothing the basics to be successful, which means less worry and more learning!

At the beginning of the year I would like to be able to give care packages to students throughout the school that weren't able to purchase the supply list.

Anything that I can do to make the school experience a little better for each and everyone of my students is my main focus. Their needs, values, interests and personalities are the highlight of my day!
