My Students
My students are phenomenal. Coming from a variety of backgrounds and home situations, they all come to school each day trying their hardest to be the best students they can be. It isn't always easy, but they all do their best to come to school ready to learn and grow.
Coming from a rural area, opportunities are limited. School is one of the few places these students are exposed to new ideas and dreams. However, due to this being a low income/high poverty district, funds are very limited to help grow those dreams. These students deserve to be exposed to as many ideas and dreams as possible, but I need help to make that happen.
My Project
These books will be used in the classroom library and for books the students can take home. Every child receives a book to read at home every night, however, this means students go through our selection very quickly! Since the books are leveled, students will easily be able to find their reading level and pick a book that they find interesting.
Students need to read every day and night to become successful, fluent readers. They deserve access to as many books as possible, regardless of their home life. Help us meet this goal by supplying our classroom with new books!
