My Students
The students here at my school are an energetic and diverse group of kids with a variety of abilities and needs.
This school is a Title I school where I serve students with cognitive disabilities, learning disabilities, and motor impairments.
These children are motivated, excited to learn, and eager to please.
This is a highly impoverished area where many students don't even get their basic needs met. These students have so much to offer and coming to the therapy room is a safe and fun place for them to learn and grow. When in the therapy space, my students are able to engage in learning, exploration, and social skills.
My Project
We are requesting a Bubble Bonanza kit for hands on learning opportunity to build, learn, create, and discover with this bubble wand engineering kit. This kit will allow my students to use their fine motor skills, executive function skills, eye hand coordination skills, and gross motor skills to build, learn, play, create and discover.
The students I work with struggle with everyday tasks such as writing, drawing and learning new skills, but this kit would allow them to feel successful and empowered as they construct, explore and create their own bubble wand.
This bubble wand engineering kit would be the "just right" challenge for my students and provide them with the opportunity to be creative while building their fine motor and gross motor skills as well as their visual motor skills. They can access their learning with this hands on engineering kit.
