Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I teach second grade in an equity plus school. Eighty-one percent of our school's students receive free/reduced lunch. Twenty percent of our students are ESL and eighteen percent of our students are certified as Exceptional Children. Of course, one of the favorite times of the day for my students is recess. I would like to have a class set of mini spill-proof bubble tumblers. These tumblers would provide my second graders with the opportunity to play with different types of equipment. We have been using the regular small bottles of bubble liquid, but we have a spill almost daily! With the spill proof tumblers, we could run, jump, and chase our bubbles without worrying about a spill. One of the best things about chasing bubbles is that no real athletic skill is needed, but lots of moving, reaching and stretching happens each time a bubble takes flight. Besides, it's lots of fun! With proper care and a refill of bubble liquid, these tumblers would provide many hours of joy and exercise this year and many years to come. Thank you for considering our proposal.
