My students live in a low-income area and resources for them are hard to come by. These students all have special needs and funding is not always available for all the materials they need.
For this project, we're looking to add a bubble wall to our Sensory Room for our students with moderate to severe disabilities.
This item would be very much loved in our Sensory Room and will give all students a chance to enjoy the calming effects that this would have on them.
Each student has a different way of calming their bodies and minds, so the sensory room has to be full of activities for all their diverse needs.
For example, this project is to put a Sensory Bubble table in the sensory room to give students an amazing way to calm their bodies.
This room serves students on the Autism spectrum, students with emotional disturbance, Down's Syndrome, multiple disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.
This table offers sensory stimulation. The LED lights change colors and bubbles swim across the face of the table, as the pump hums gently. This combination stimulates the senses, great for children with autism, special needs and ADHD.
